Ina notes: “I love the look of old tin prints and large polaroids. The depth and clarity is still today superior to most of the best modern equipment. I hand color each photo, working with the elements of the shot to create a hip, bold work that really wakes up your walls. I print out on archival, Kodak Endura paper. This thick luster paper is one of the best in the industry. With all the depth and pop you would expect from a darkroom print.”
Ina Christensen is the photographer behind “Walking to Jericho” photo studio! Old black and white photographs or polaroids are hand colored and transformed into pop pieces that will definitely rock your walls!

Whimsical and poetic digital photo collages by Lyse Marion, the artist behind Imagine Studio. Mixing and experimenting with various digital techniques and inspired by nature, Lyse creates bold imagery with a touch of mystery. As the artist states in her online bio: “Through more than 30 years, my one constant expression in art has been Collage, and for the past five years I have been working on transferring this art form into the digital world. Layers upon layers of thoughts, emotions and research have been turned into transparencies, textures, colours, depth, emotions, portraitures, etc. This virtual digital world of seemingly endless possibilities has given me a new take on my artwork, allowing me to pursue even further my undying need to produce lyrical, evocative and sometimes provocative images.” A very talented girl with many faces quoting Frida Kahlo “I paint self-portraits because I am so often alone, because I am the person I know best”. In the artist’s ellemoss gallery one can find a wide variety of conceptual shots. Romantic, dark, emotive, even surreal visual images compose an inspiring and dreamy collection!
The artist’s artwork has been featured in numerous art sites and magazines. I am quite awestruck by the originality of Grand Ole Bestiary photo project! A very impressive photo collection accompanied by a well presented mysterious story.
I’m posting the intro of Grand Ole Bestiary’s etsy shop: “The Grand Ole Bestiary is a collection of faux-antique, anthropomorphic, mythological curios. Each one carefully recovered from ancient catacombs discovered buried deep inside the molten core of a metaphysical holy mountain. Touted as one of the most compelling discoveries of evidence that proves an enduring existence of these magnificent creatures that had long been worshiped and damned by human civilizations throughout history.” Dreamy and emotive shots by Dylan Murphy, a 22 year old talented photographer who is currently studying for his BA in photography in Illinois. As he notes “A lot of my art is filled with emotion and all of the uncertainties and absurdities of life. While some of my work could be described as fantasy or surreal; I also think there is a certain amount of reality in it. I like to use myself in a lot of my work, as it is a way of coping, learning, and expressing myself. I like to tell stories and pose questions through my images, though I don’t always know the stories or the answers myself.” Make sure to drop by his online shop and view his available signed prints!
As Oleg Duryagin mentions “Visually I am inspired by culture of fashion and surrealists. I often shock people with my work … I try to combine reality with artificiality”. I am personally amazed by the immensity of this young Russian photographer’s talent! His portraits look almost ethereal, porcelain fragile, transparent … The eyes exaggerated, shiny, too penetrating! A visual and surreal transformation of human identity.
A multi-talented guy with a cutting edge talent in digital retouching and photo manipulation, Dale May creates visuals which make your jaw drop.
He is a N.Y. based photographer and specializes in advertising, music, editorial and conceptual imagery. |
